.SUMMER. >report posted by ECon on 06.22.2009 at 10:00 p.m.
OK, so our introduction to summer may have started off on the dark side here in New York, but at least there were a few barrels to grab. There has been an unusual amount of easterly swells and lots of back to back sessions happened. Who knows what this pattern could do to our hurricane season. Here's a few photos from this past weekend.

.HAWAII. >swell report posted by ECon on 05.28.2009 at 2:25 a.m.
Hawaii has been supplying a bunch of small long period swells for the past 2 weeks. Here are a couple from early last week where Hubb and Skipp scored there last session together before heading off to Cali and Australia for the next month. Theres plenty more to come as well and we are looking at a new swell rising this weekend. Not bad for May...

Well, the weather warmed up a bit and theres a few more hours to search for waves each day. After finding some little lines at a local sandbar Dave suited up and scored these to himself.

THE OUTER BANKS >>North Carolina posted by ECon on 10.24.2008 at 2:00 p.m.
These shots are from a recent trip to OBX which were taken on 10/20 & 10/21. Lots of guys were out ripping, including Corey Lopez, Peter Mendia and Will Skudin. Almost all the Lineups were completely empty and if I were to categorize the types of waves on Mon/Tues, it would only be appropriate to say that this swell was stritcly Grinders. Look forward to a gallery coming next week.

SOUTH
SWELLS
The winter is gone and the offshores are retreating for another summer season. For the past 2 weeks there has been a significant amount of activity in the atlantic and it seems as if the summer outlook has shifted 180 degrees. We've got our regular south wind swells consistently rolling through along with some new tropical activity off the canaries, this system is being named TS Bertha. The following 4 photos are a couple from the past week, the 4 photos following that are from this past spring.

Winter Chronicles: January 2008
The Winter Chronicles: January 2008 is a compilation of shots from last months consistent back to back swells. Although we didnt see anything big, there was still fun surf at least once or twice a week, and everybody took advantage. This gallery contains 4 sequences and somewhere around 100 images. All the photos in this feature were captured by Evan Conway. Check it out, Winter Chronicles: January 2008

Winter Sessions
There have been a few days within the past week or two that provided some fun little medium period waves. Even if its been hard to find, at least there has been something to hold us over. Looks like we might see some real waves this week. See you there.

South Shore Hawaii
I've been here for a few weeks now, the first week we had a tiny bit of swell in the water so I hiked up to diamond head and took a couple of lineup shots. I did a lot of exploring just in the first week and scored some pretty fun sandy's and I surfed diamond head a few times at about waist to chest high. I also scored some super fast tubes right in front at Ala Moana Bowls. The NS season is starting to fire up so I will have more updates in the weeks to come.
